Blog
Welcome to the MyBumpBuddy blog
A short note on what this blog is for, who it's written for, and how we'll cover pregnancy from the partner's point of view — week by week.
Most pregnancy writing is aimed at the person who is pregnant. That makes sense — but it leaves the other half of the team reading over her shoulder, guessing what to do, and finding out about the anatomy scan the night before.
This blog is for the other half of the team. Husbands, partners, dads-to-be, and anyone showing up for someone who is growing a baby.
What you'll find here
Short, source-backed reads that respect your time and meet you where you are. Every article is grounded in public-health guidance from the NHS, HSE and CDC, then translated into one thing: the next useful thing you can do this week.
- How to be helpful in the first trimester (without hovering).
- What actually happens at the 20-week anatomy scan.
- The hospital bag from the partner's side of the bed.
- How to protect her sleep in the third trimester.
- The first week postpartum — being the steady one.
How we write
Calm, specific, and partner-first. No scare copy. No filler. If a paragraph isn't earning its place, it gets cut. If a claim isn't backed by a credible source, it doesn't go in.
Pregnancy is a forty-week relay, not a solo race. Your job is to be the steady one in the lane next to her.
Where to start
If you don't know your week yet, the week-by-week journey has a one-tap calculator at the top. If you'd rather get tailored weekly nudges and shared planning for both of you, join the Plus waitlist.
Thanks for being here. New articles publish regularly — bookmark the blog or follow us on Instagram and we'll see you next week.
